Hitchin Choi Kwang Do at Seni 2000
Seni is an annual event held at the NEC indoor arena in Birmingham. Anyone and everyone in the martial arts world is there from promoters to merchandise stores as well as demonstration teams and world champions from just about every martial art imaginable. As always it was a free event open to anyone interested in martial arts and was held on the 6th & 7th of May this year.
The Uk Choi Kwang Do Association had a stall which attracted a lot of interest and was organised by one of our regular Bedford students, Elouisa Parisi.
Choi Kwang Do also had 10 demonstration slots over the two day event. Our own Hitchin demo team was organised by Garry Huggins and they did all 5 demonstrations on the Saturday and 2 out of the 5 on the Sunday. The North London team did 2 demo's on Sunday, and the other 1 was done by the Surrey demo team. All this plus a Seminar from our Chief Instructor Mr Peter Wake and a number of talks by North London instructors Mr Hugh Harper and Mr Keith Banfield. Our demo team did extremely well and even had to follow the very impressive Shaolin Monks with their final demonstration.
The Hitchin demo team was Mr Peter Wake, Mrs Karen Wake, Mr Simon Sparrow, Mr Darren Busby, Mr Steve Bradley, Mr Garry Huggins, Mr Richard Esson, Miss Claire Wakefield and Mr Lewis Renney.
